Account and your books

You need a MindNote account to use the app. You are responsible for access to your account and for having the right to import and store the books and materials you choose. Your books, excerpts, and notes remain your content.

Trial and paid limits

Eligible new subscribers can authorize a 7-day trial of their chosen Starter, Plus, Pro or Max subscription. The trial begins when the provider confirms the subscription, not at registration. After 7 days the selected month, quarter or year price is charged automatically unless canceled beforehand. Trial usage is shared across the membership products; eligibility is checked by MindNote and the purchase provider. After expiry, existing books remain readable and exportable, but adding and editing require an active subscription. Paid plans set a maximum number of books kept in the account: Starter 10, Plus 50, Pro 200, and Max 1,000. Deleting a book removes its linked source, map, notes, excerpts, screenshots, and reading position; export anything you want to keep before deleting.

Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans renew automatically each month, quarter, or year according to the plan you choose. Prices are shown in USD on the pricing page; store prices, taxes, and currency conversion may differ by location. Website purchases are handled by Waffo Pancake. In-app purchases are handled by Apple or Google. The active membership applies to the same MindNote account across supported devices.

Cancellation and plan changes

Manage or cancel a website subscription through the Waffo Pancake billing portal; manage an in-app subscription through the store where you bought it. For a website purchase refund request, email [email protected]; for an in-app purchase, use the store’s refund process. If your book count exceeds a lower limit after a plan change, existing books stay readable and exportable, while new imports and edits resume after you delete enough books to meet the limit.

Sync and availability

MindNote tries to sync before opening a book. A downloaded local copy remains available when the service cannot be reached. Cloud changes are resolved by the latest modified record; changes to the same record made offline on different devices can overwrite one another. Keep an exported copy of work you cannot afford to lose.

Ending an account

You can request account deletion in the app after paid access ends. Account deletion removes MindNote books and notes and cannot be undone. Some minimal records are retained to prevent account or purchase replay, as explained in the privacy policy.
